SYNOPSIS:

Set in the 1950’s when American influence was still apparent, Miguel (Yul Servo), a young man from the countryside decides to visit his father, Pablo, a Modernist painter in Manila. However, his father’s empty studio is all there is when he arrives. Shortly, Stella (Jaycee Parker), a nude model originally scheduled to pose for Miguel’s father, knocks at the door. Struck by her beauty, Miguel does the unthinkable – he pretends to be his father, the painter.

Developing a relationship based on a lie, things turn for the worse as Stella begets a strange skin disease that turns off Miguel. Surrounded by strange characters – a talking cow, a talkative mailman and a nosy landlady – Miguel is driven into a frenzy realization about beauty, lust, love and being true to oneself.

This film received a “Grade A” rating from the Cinema Evaluation Board.

SYNOPSIS:

Wilfredo Mercado (Rudy Fernandez) is sentenced to prison for stabbing to death Don Reynaldo’s son (Rez Cortez). Far from being a hardened criminal, Willy is driven by the horrors of prison life to take part in a jailbreak organized by Mogan (Paquito Diaz) and Baldo (Ruel Vernal).  Only the three of them manage to evade the police alive and they take shelter in Mogan’s brother’s house.

Soon after, Mogan and Baldo rob a bank and leave Willy behind while they go into hiding. Don Reynaldo (Joe Garcia), upon learning that Willy has flown the coop, engages a hitman (Bomber Moran) to avenge his son’s death.

Meanwhile, Willy falls for Mogan’s young niece, Leonor (Cherie Gil) and both flee to start a new life together.  Mogan finds them, says he will put up with their relationship but only if Willie joins him and Baldo in one last heist.

Wounded in an encounter, he manages to escape and hides in a farmer’s hut. His hiding place is discovered by the farmer’s daughter, Carmen (Helen Gamboa). Though engaged to be married, Carmen is attracted to Daniel and feeds and cares for him.

Regaining his strength, Daniel searches for El Tigre. He now suspects El Tigre is after him, too, as he has broken away from his kidnap for ransom group. Unknown to him, Carmen becomes their latest victim.

She eventually attracts a lot of attention and this in time isolates Edgar and causes embarrassment among his very conservative family. Although he suspects that the lawyer is the group’s leader, he cannot pin him down because he does not have any evidence. But the turn of events suddenly puts him in the limelight–a terrible light since he is suspected of orchestrating a murder!

Strangely, Sarah and Eric’s paths cross again at a time when their respective marriages are in disarray. Sarah is still suffering from the stigma left by the dire  incident with Eric on her and the disabled Alfredo, while Eric is now at odds with his wife Cristy (Chanda Romero). It’s a sense of “déjà vu” for both and they feel they must have known each other in a past life. Their suspicious are confirmed after Eric consults a psychic.

As it turns out, Sarah and Eric are the reincarnation of Guada and Enrico, two lovers who had an illicit affair sixty years ago. When Guada’s husband, Limbo (Ruel Vernal), learned of her affair, he went on a murderous rampage. Sarah and Eric speculate on their chances as they seem destined to follow the same path.
